CA, UNITED STATES, September 15, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Power Hero Makes Strategic Investment in Co Charger to Advance Near-Home EV Charging in the U.S. and UK

Companies combine Power Hero’s patented energy-access technologies with Co Charger’s established community charging marketplace and growing fleet channel

Power Hero Corp., developer of a patented Energy Access Platform for distributed electricity, and Co Charger Limited, operator of the UK’s leading community charging platform, today announced that Power Hero has completed a strategic investment in Co Charger and that the companies intend to collaborate on expanding near-home EV charging in the United Kingdom and United States.

The relationship brings together complementary capabilities. Co Charger has established an operating two-sided marketplace connecting owners of private home EV chargers with drivers who need convenient charging near where they live. Power Hero has developed technologies designed to provide trusted access, authorization, control, metering and transaction capabilities across distributed sources of electricity.

Co Charger’s Near-Home Charging service also extends into the commercial fleet market through its relationship with Allstar, part of Corpay (NYSE: CPAY). The service enables take-home fleet drivers who cannot install chargers at their residences to charge overnight at participating neighborhood home chargers, while charging activity and payments are handled through the Co Charger and Allstar systems.

“Co Charger has demonstrated something fundamental to Power Hero’s strategy: the enormous installed base of privately owned chargers can become useful energy infrastructure when drivers are given a trusted and convenient way to access it,” said Esmond Goei, Founder and CEO of Power Hero Corp. “Rather than requiring another charger to be installed every time a driver needs access to electricity, our shared vision is to unlock more value from infrastructure that already exists. We believe the combination of Co Charger’s marketplace experience and Power Hero’s technology can accelerate that model in both the UK and the United States.”

Joel Teague, CEO of Co Charger Limited, said:
“Power Hero shares our belief that the transition to electric vehicles does not have to depend solely on building ever more public charging infrastructure. Co Charger has shown that existing home chargers can be shared to give drivers dependable charging close to where they live. Power Hero’s technology and U.S. market focus create exciting opportunities to build on what we have established in the UK and extend the benefits of near-home charging to many more drivers everywhere.”

Co Charger’s model addresses one of the persistent barriers to EV adoption: drivers who cannot conveniently charge where they live. Its platform enables private charger owners to make their chargers available to nearby drivers, managing discovery, communication, bookings and payments. For fleets, its Near-Home Charging service with Allstar enables drivers to charge close to home during vehicle downtime rather than relying exclusively on public charging during the working day.

Power Hero’s initial U.S. commercialization is focused on the same underlying problem, beginning in California. Its Cameo™ and Aircue™ technologies are designed to add trusted access, control, authorization, metering and transaction capabilities to distributed charging assets. Power Hero’s technology portfolio is backed by 22 granted patents, with additional patents pending.

The companies expect their collaboration to provide a foundation for applying lessons from Co Charger’s UK marketplace to Power Hero’s planned California rollout while exploring the integration of Power Hero technologies into future UK near-home charging applications and the EU.
